Slate Roofing: common questions
Does a slipped slate mean I need a new roof?
Rarely. A few slipped slates can be re-fixed. Re-roofing is only worth considering when slates are slipping all over a slope.
Can the old slates be reused?
Often, yes. Sound slates can be lifted and re-laid on new battens and fixings, which keeps the cost down.
How much will it cost?
It depends on the roof, the access and what we find. We inspect for free and give you a fixed written price before any work starts.
